Selling an inherited property in Arizona

I inherited a home in Arizona from my Uncle, while I had never seen the property, my Uncle was never affluent or conscientious about his possessions; I was not surprised to find the home in bad condition, then the roof had apparently been leaking for quite some time, causing a musty smell, mold growth and disfigurement to ceilings, walls and floors.

There were signs of rodent infestation, broken windows and leaky pipes.

There was no chance of the home meeting local building and safety codes… One of the largest concerns was the abundance of stuff. My Uncle was absolutely a hoarder. There were stacks of newspapers, magazines and take-out cartons! He’d saved cardboard boxes, empty water bottles and all sorts of junks. There was so much furniture, clothing and knick-knacks, that it was strenuous to navigate from room to room. I don’t live in Arizona. I didn’t want to spend months cleaning out the house, dealing with getting rid of the garbage and handling repairs. I was unwilling to invest a small fortune into professional services for cleaning and repairs. To sell the home via traditional methods, I would have needed to upgrade the roof and windows, upgrade the plumbing and electrical system and install a modern Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. I wanted to unload my Uncle’s home as swiftly and painlessly as possible! For me, the right solution was to go with a money home buyer. I submitted a contact form and received an offer that same day. The money-customer was willing to accept the home in as-is condition. The closing was simple, straightforward and stress-free.
